My work spans infrastructure, security architecture, identity controls, security operations and connected systems. I care about what happens after the diagram is approved.
What shaped my approach
Security controls do not operate in isolation. They coexist with legacy applications, budget decisions, incomplete inventories, business processes, vendor dependencies and people who need the system to work tomorrow.
That experience shaped the way I approach consulting and public technical writing: understand the constraints first, separate evidence from inference, then recommend what a team can actually implement and maintain.
Three working principles
Start with the actual system.
Diagrams and policies are starting points. Operational reality matters.
Distinguish what is known from what is assumed.
Claims need a source. Tests need negative cases. Findings need limitations.
Make recommendations someone can own.
Control design, maintenance, monitoring and accountability belong in the same conversation.
Why Beerhoff?
Beerhoff is where I bring together lessons from professional work, independent research, practical guides and scoped cybersecurity advisory. The goal is to build a reliable technical reference and a trusted independent practice over time.
